This is the part we take most seriously. Here is exactly what happens, and what it does
and doesn’t prove.
Checked before they start
No barber can accept a job until their DBS certificate, qualification, insurance and
photo ID have all been reviewed by us. If any of them lapse, they stop receiving work
automatically — not when someone gets round to noticing.
Your code, at your door
The barber has to ask you for a four-digit code before the visit starts. It isn’t in
their app — only you have it. If you’d rather not, or can’t, there’s another way
through, and the visit is flagged for us to look at.
A record you can see
Arrival time, departure time and photos taken during the visit are all in your account
— the same record the barber sees. Nothing is hidden from you about your own visit.
Cameras, honestly
Some barbers wear a body camera and you can ask for one who does. That means they’ve
registered a device with us and agreed to our recording policy. It does not mean a
camera is running during your visit — that stays your choice, on the day, and you can
say no at any point.
